Lesson 4 Creating Web Pages With Joomla 1.5

  • ronanmeyler posted: 22 Dec at 2:01 pm

Great insight, thanks. I was wondering where the Global configuration for each of the articles was…show author, pdf icon etc…

  • QuicSite posted: 13 Feb at 4:16 pm

When you go into your article manager, at the top, where the icons “New” and “Cancel” are, there is another icon called “Parameters”. You make these changes here. Hope that helps :)

I’ve got a problem on this part. In my parameter section I have saved everything to no or hide. But still every article that appears on the frontpage is showing all the icons and date etc, even though the articles are set to ‘global settings’. So I have to manually edit each article to not show any of this. What gives here? I’m wondering if I’m having problem with permissions, FTP side? any ideas?

    Thank for posting this tutorial.
Im new to Joomla, and I installed via my hosting company with and easy installation, but it look like im missing some of the editor tools, like the yellow happy face and the movie film strip.
Also on the global configuaration, I dont have the “Tiny MCE 2.” like you, It just says “Tiny MCE”.
    Thanks in advance
