I’m new at this site building thing, i’m trying to make one, I’ve already made the layout in photoshop….what is the difference in CSS, html and dreamweaver? where the text body goes I placed a wooden background image and thought I could add text in dreamweaver, but if I delete it, do I have to replace it with colour?

“Its funny because html/css are very simple languages to learn.” that is so false it hurts my eyes
Phenomart posted: 15 Nov at 7:44 am
it is really f*cking easy to learn the basics.
If you want to have an advanced website you have to learn harder stuff, but it still is easier than learning c or c++ !

I have to say that this tutorial might be good, but if you are a web designer you should know that photoshop uses tables to save the sliced website.
Tables are only for table data and not for a weblayout.!!!!!
ProfessorBamboo posted: 18 Nov at 6:37 pm
I followed the instructions carefully, however I’m unable to center the layout because I can’t select the table like you did in the video. I don’t even think my layout is a table.. how am I able to make it one?

It’s worth mentioning that Photoshop(at least, CS4 )also allows you to export a layout as AP divs.

TABLE layout? Yiiiiiikes… the templates instruction was great though, THX!!
SophisticatedMike posted: 20 Jan at 5:43 pm
You know the links to each page that you have created; well, when a user hovers over them links, can you make it so maybe something happens? maybe a tect colour change or some sort of rollover effect. That would be great.

when importing photoshop layouts dreamweaver by default sticks them into a table, as you can see he actually creates a wrapping div to conteract this, so he is not really using the table as such.

By far you are the best teacher I’ve found on Youtube regarding this stuff. Thanks so much. Very professional.

when i tried to make the “site_layout” CSS style sheet it didn’t give me the option to save it…?
Is this something you can only do in CS4 or something?
I’m using CS3
