How to Build a Computer – 2 – More on CPU’s

  • Faustesh posted: 25 Oct at 12:06 pm

    lol
    upgrade

  • Faustesh posted: 25 Oct at 12:07 pm

Whats that going to cost you, like 2.5 Grand!!!???

  • lebammabel posted: 25 Oct at 1:37 pm

Could you please clarify something for me. You mentioned that for video editing CPU’s speed shouldn’t be not less than 3.0 Ghz. Does it means that Intel core i5 / i7 processors are not good enough for vide editing, because I found them less than 3.0 Ghz?

  • nikosyv posted: 25 Oct at 1:55 pm

    it doesn’t matter if it’s a i7 because it has 4 cores..

  • ChioPhotography posted: 25 Oct at 3:50 pm

The new i7/i5 processors are excellent. The cheaper versions are 2.66Ghz while that is enough! Tho you could always buy a Quad Core like AMD X4 or Core 2 Quad that have 3Ghz+ more and are cheaper. I recommend the i7 with 2.66Ghz or more ;)

    Thanks for information.

  • lebammabel posted: 26 Oct at 10:35 am

    Thanks.

  • pokerockman posted: 26 Oct at 1:30 pm

no actually because what the i7 has is what ppl call hyper threading (or something) and it doubles the cores (or something like that) so i think that should help :D

  • pokerockman posted: 26 Oct at 1:31 pm

xD me to i have 1.7 ghz but single core .

btw i am getting a new pc so these vids really help!

  • thew0wn00b posted: 28 Oct at 7:05 pm

they say that building your own comp is cheaper and some are like 1k but i got my hp laptop for like 448 lol. i guess it depends on your parts you bought.

  • tHaH4×0r posted: 30 Oct at 9:37 am

there are extreme i7’s that are 3,3gHz, also you can overclock a normal 920 to 4 gHz if you want it..

  • dangerman200k posted: 31 Oct at 10:37 am

He’s talking about single core CPUs. i7 is quad core.

  • colorado13avs posted: 04 Nov at 6:51 pm

lol ur a idiot of course its cheaper lol ur doing it urself and buying parts by urself and thats a laptop prolly piece of shit i doubt it run any games,, enless ur willing to spend money on a graphics card

  • colorado13avs posted: 04 Nov at 6:53 pm

no man lol i have a 2..80ghz and basically he means that 3.0 ghz is that u will be able to do video editing with out any troubles of like lag or program wont start,

  • thew0wn00b posted: 04 Nov at 8:23 pm

oh wow my comp runs a ton of games and it came with nvidia graphics unlike your computer that you built with intel graphics that costs $1,000 and can only run windows 95

  • Raidel007 posted: 06 Nov at 10:15 pm

    nice review man!
Looking forward to watching all the series to learn more

  • edwardnese posted: 07 Nov at 5:30 pm

can you use a intel cpu with a amd motherboard?
and what type of cpu fan is good

  • lgr1991 posted: 07 Nov at 7:47 pm

    @edwardnese
No, Intel CPUs only work with Intel mobos.
    Same for AMD.
You need to look at cpu socket type as well and get a compatible processor.

  • colorado13avs posted: 12 Nov at 12:12 am

hahaha i run actually on windows XP and most 1,000$ computers are better than ur piece of shit laptop, and have better built in graphics then ur computer does,,, and honestly theres no way my computer runs any intel because who the fuck buys intel

  • lolpancakeslol posted: 14 Nov at 12:03 am

what gigahertz would be good to run games like team fortress 2 with a good resolution?

  • snobizz9 posted: 14 Nov at 3:58 pm

2.66ghz but you will need a good graphics card

  • ai43v3r posted: 16 Nov at 10:31 pm

    what is overclocking?

  • Pokercountry posted: 19 Nov at 7:40 pm

    @ai43v3r
pushing more power to the cpu than the default, thereby increasing the speed.

  • RottenRroses posted: 20 Nov at 1:30 pm

He mentioned you need at least 3ghz(in 2008) for the newer games. But what if you have a dual core with 2×2.0ghz. Is it worse just as good or better than a single core with 3ghz? E.g.:What if the game requirements say 3ghz needed would this game run on a 2×2.0ghz cpu? Can I just add the speed of the cores together?

  • faysalbest1 posted: 21 Nov at 1:53 pm

this will take for ever to watch what u think !
